Directions for Use and Information

  • Our spectacle lenses comply with ISO standards. As a rule spectacle lenses are not unbreakable. Allergic reactions to spectacle lens materials, colours or coatings have not benn recorded.

  • The following regulations apply to eyewear worn when driving:
  • Please note that r+h cannot accept liability for the effects of defective colour surface finishes applied to sports frames. All our specially finished lenses are coated on both sides (except where backsurface AR coating is applied). For technical reasons, we do not recommend the use of single-side or differential coatings on one lens of a pair only.
  • Every reprocessing by the optician (tints, coatings,…) which are more than the normal glazing, are processed in his responsibility and are excluded by manufacturer's liability.
  • Please note that R+H cannot accept liability for problems arising from the effects of substandard colour surface finished on sports frames.
  • Lens classification by filter category in accordance with DIN EN ISO:

0 from 0 to < 20 clear or lightly tinted
1 from 20 to < 57 lightly tinted; > 25 % not suitable for night driving.
2 from 57 to < 82 moderately tinted; not suitable for night driving.
3 from 82 to < 92 deeply tinted; not suitable for night driving.
4 from 92 to < 97 very deeply tinted; not suitable for night driving.
  • Our quality management is certified with DIN EN ISO 9001.
  • Special lenses and tints, which are not in our product catalogue, are not proved for ISO standards. The optician has to evaluate the risk at the rate of the wearer's use. Please note these changes.
